UniSource’s employee volunteer groups, called Community Action Teams, are getting ready for a busy month in October with volunteer activities and sponsorships.

Here are upcoming events that UniSource is sponsoring:

Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club’s Brews and Brats Octoberfest – Oct. 7-8 at Metcalfe Park.

Whiskey Row Marathon in Prescott – Oct. 8. The race benefits the James Family Prescott YMCA, which provides scholarship funds for low-income children to participate in YMCA activities.

Nogales Bicycle Classic – Oct. 15. Volunteers will guide bicyclists on a route in the event, which benefits the Circle of Peace nonprofit organization.

Walk Away from Drugs in Kingman – Oct. 19. Bucket trucks will be on display for the safety event organized by the Kingman Area Meth Coalition.

Taste of Havasu – Oct. 19. UniSource is donating the use of a light tower and generator and volunteers will help with the event that supports the K-12 Foundation for Lake Havasu Unified School District.

Flagstaff Family Food Center’s 30^th Anniversary Celebration – Oct. 22

Coconino Coalition for Children & Youth’s 50^th Anniversary Celebration – Oct. 27

Zombie Extravaganza Trunk or Treat in Flagstaff – Oct. 29 at Findlay Toyota. This event benefits Acts of Kindness.
