The Purchased Gas Adjustor (PGA) is a usage-based credit or charge that reflects changes in the costs of natural gas. UES passes along these costs without any markup and earns no  profit through the PGA. The PGA is periodically reviewed and approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission.

How will the PGA affect my monthly natural gas bills?

A credit of 10 cents per therm will be applied to bills from Nov. 1, 2016 through April 30, 2017. The credit is expected to reduce the monthly bill of a residential gas customer  with average usage by $2.88.

The credit is designed to take effect during winter months, helping to reduce bills during a season when residential gas use typically reaches its peak.

Why are you applying a credit to customer bills?

The PGA is designed to pass along energy cost savings that result from reductions in natural gas prices. UES buys natural gas on the wholesale market and passes those costs  along to customers. Natural gas prices have remained low throughout 2016.
